Jaclyn Ruggirello is a commercial litigator who represents individuals and businesses in all aspects of federal and state commercial litigations, arbitrations, and mediations. Her practice focuses on complex commercial disputes in areas including contract disputes, general business torts, partnership and shareholder disputes, real estate, and construction.
Prior to joining Lynn Gartner Dunne & Frigenti, LLP, Jaclyn served as law clerk to the Honorable James M. Wicks, United States Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of New York. Jaclyn also served the Eastern District as a court clerk, addressing habeas corpus petitions, social security appeals, and other motions for the Honorable Joanna Seybert, the Honorable Joan M. Azrack, and the Honorable Gary R. Brown.
Before her time in the Eastern District, Jaclyn worked for a well-known full-service law firm on Long Island as a commercial litigation associate. She focused mainly on complex litigation matters involving contract claims, fraud claims, business divorce and dissolution claims, tort claims, and professional malpractice claims.
Jaclyn received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Monmouth University in 2012 and her Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2019. During law school, Jaclyn was a staff member of the Hofstra Law Review and competed interscholastically as a member of Hofstra’s Trial Advocacy Association. Her team won the 2018 AAJ Regional Championship and went on to compete in the STAC 2018 National Finals Tournament. Jaclyn also interned with the Honorable A. Kathleen Tomlinson, United States Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of New York. Jaclyn has received the New York City Trial Lawyers Alliance Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy, Citation of Excellence in Advocacy and Litigation Law, and the Hofstra Trial Advocacy Association’s Excellence Award.
Jaclyn is admitted to practice law before the Courts of the State of New York and the United States District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
